Job Interview Training
This interactive workshop is one of two sessions, facilitated by Meike von Platen-Holzapfel, experienced HR specialist and career coach. With her tips and insights, international students can kick-start their careers in Germany.
Here’s a summary of what you can expect to gain from it:
- Understand what to expect in a job interview and gain insights into employer's perspective
- Learn the dos & dont's of job interviews in Germany and how to handle critical situations
- Prepare to answer difficult questions, including those about salary
- Utilize a checklist for thorough preparation and follow-up
This workshop will prepare you to convince in job interviews in Germany.
This training is funded by the DAAD project ‘Study, stay, succeed in Karlsruhe’. International students intending to graduate at KIT are given priority for a place. Available places can also be filled by non-international students.

Important - in case of non-participation:
The events are currently offered free of charge, as the Career Service covers the costs incurred. Unfortunately, we often receive cancellations at short notice or not at all, so that places remain empty. This may mean that we will no longer be able to offer the events free of charge in the future.
If you are unable to take part in an event despite a binding registration, please cancel your participation at least one week before the start of the event. We reserve the right to block candidates who do not cancel or cancel too late for further events.
